I am a Mechanical Engineer by training. I am specialized in the area of fluid dynamics, heat transfer, and soft matter. I obtained my B.Sc. from Sharif University of Technology, Iran, and my Ph.D. from the University of Minnesota. After 9 years of academic life, in 2023 I decided to take on a new challenge and enter the industrial world; product development specifically. I am now a Senior ME at SharkNinja R&D where I lead fluid flow system investigations via CFD, Fluid Visualization techniques, rapid prototyping, and design.

Prior to this I was the Hibbitt Postdoctoral Fellow in the Center for Fluid Mechanics at Brown University School of Engineering where I was also a visiting postoc at MIT Pattern Formation lab in the Mechanical Engineering Department (2022-23). Before joinging Brown, I was a Postdoctoral Associate in the Department of Biological and Environmental Engineering at Cornell University (2020-22).

Over nearly a decade in academia through graduate and post graduate studies, I enjoyed interacting with many brilliant minds in fluid dynamics and soft matter community. I find myself exteremly lucky to have found a home in communities such as APS DFD, APS DSoft, and ASME. Being an academic is now a part of me, and I will continue to publish in peer-reviewed journals, provide review for journals, serve on proposal panels, and help organize academic events.
